Bees are an essential part of our life and this world are numbers are decling rapidly. Over the last 20 years bee numbers have halved and numbers continue to fall year after year.
Its important that this is known as public knowledge and everything that can be done is done sooner rather than later.
Bees are important everyone and play a massive part in this world both environmentally and financially.

It is estimated that bees contribute £200million to the UK eccomomy
Bee Numbers have halved in the UK over the last 20 years. One fifth of the bee colonies did not survive last years winter. This is not only in the UK problem this is a world wide issue.
There are only 44,000 bee keeper 95% of which are amatures .
It is estimated that if bees were irradicted it would take 30million people to replace thee bee’s workforce in the UK alone.
Whats Happening to the Bees.
No one is exactly sure why bee numbers are declining at such an alarming rate this is why it is impertive that this cause is supported and everthing that can be done now is done to ensure all loses are minimised and investigation are maintained.
Explanations include.
Bad weather and climate change
The use of pesticides.
Disease
The importation of non native bee species.
Mites
What can we do??
Everyone is in a position to help our wee buzzy friends.
For starter we need to let everyone know there is a problem and something needs to be done sooner rather than later. The further this message goes the more likley somone will read it who is really in a position to help.
Forward it to you local council. Pass it around the office talk about it with your friends and family.
Create a bee friendly garden, plant flowers which bees can pollinate reduce the use of pesticides. and once agin encournage your council to do the same.
Protect our swarms. If you ever see a swarm of bees report it to your local bee keeping association.
Taker up bee keeping or buy a bee box to help shelter the bees
