This Method was developed by Dr Geoffrey Savage a leading authority for the health benefits of honey antioxidants associated in New Zealand. Renowned professor and Bio Chemist at Lincoln University in Canterbury New Zealand. Dr Savage and his team found that AAH 650+ Manuka Honey contained extremely high, naturally occurring levels of antibacterial activity and antioxidants far more than other honey varieties.

The method used to test antibacterial of active AAH 650+Manuka Honey is completely different to the more recognised UMF testing method. It’s scientifically proven method of testing which measurers the same thing as UMF but it is completely reliable every time. Parr’s recognised this and realised this was the best option to ensure quality control.

This means that that only active jars of active 650+ Manuka Honey are guaranteed to contain highest of quality active honey available , and on that the honey contained or used is activity which would be stated on the packaging,
The scale of measuring the antibacterial level activity in Active AAH 650+ Manuka Honey is also different to that of UMF. The active AAH range is between 470-650+. For UMF the activity range is 5-25+. Therefore 650+ would be to the same strength as 25+ UMF though the AAH 650+ is proven to be more precise and accurate. So with both testing methods the higher the number the more effective it will be in the use of natural healing. Active AAH 650+ Manuka Honey is not only high in antibacterial activity it is also extremely high in antioxidants, As already mentioned antioxidants neutralise free radicals in the environment, These free radicals are caused by everyday environmental factors such as air, sunlight and pollution which attack our skin on a day to day basis. And are proven to cause 95% of the skin damage, skin degeneration, skin disease, wrinkles, and skin discolorations and also affect the body’s health and can harm the immune system. It is believed that using products such as Manuka honey which is high in antioxidants can help to prevent negative skin impairments.

The skincare industry is a rapidly changing industry which is tending a lot more to the natural side than ever before. Along with active manuka honey which is not a new ingredient to beauty products though throughout its life many businesses have worked towards perfecting it. Manuka Honey is an excellent addition to any standard beauty regime regardless of whether it is applied directly or through a skincare product of any means its natural nutritious structure is second to none. Despite the fact that it’s important to know what to seek within these products to divide the facts form the fiction.
Active manuka honey is a certified with this tested product that has to be quality sealed to prove it has been tested and certified. Contrasting the honeys Manuka Honey creams don’t even have to be certified but provided you keep with a recognized brand these will be labelled to tell you of the quality of the honey utilised. Manuka honey maintains a stable structure well when it is diluted so an indication of the honey used is a good representation of the quality of the product. We should really be looking for a strength of a minimum 10+ UMF which would convert into 100 MGO or 450+ AAH.
AAH is a superb testing approach and anything that carry this testing method would be greatly recommended this honey is not only tested in it anti bacterial components but also its anti-oxidant components which are a very important factor in skin care.

Also within the products we need to be very conscious of the ingredients that are are being used Much of the skincare industry today is based on many chemicals and ingredients that are known and proven to be toxic as well as carcinogenic. If you we actually conscious of these elements which are used and also the quantity of products these are actually utilised in you will more than likely be just as shocked as I was. Even the majority of products labelled as natural including organic contain traces of these components moreover sadly the same goes with lots of Manuka Honey lotions. Parebens, mineral oils, aluminium are all widely used additives all of which don’t have any nutritional value to your skin or our bodies what so ever. Parebens are a column of ingredients which can usually used as preservatives and are closely connected with breast cancer.

Dead Sea Scientific Research

A study involving a European occupational therapist suffering from psoriasis who had obtained compensation from her health insurance in order to undergo therapy at the Dead Sea has lead to great interest in health funds in Denmark, Germany and other European Countries. This has resulted in their subsidizing treatment from the Dead Sea for people suffering from both Psoriasis and other skin conditions. If Health Insurance companies can be considering coverage of treatment at the Dead Sea for relief and treatment of skin disorders, then it seems reasonable to advocate usage of products manufactured from the Mud and minerals of the Dead Sea.

Healthy skin and physical and mental well being is dependent on the correct sodium and potassium or fluid balance in the body. This is regulated by the Adrenal gland, which in turn affect healthy function of the kidneys. The kidneys are responsible for controlling 28 chemicals in the body. An imbalance of these chemicals or electrolytes can result in certain skin or other symptoms and over an extended period of time results in various illnesses.

The Dead Sea Salts differ from regular sea salt in 2 important ways.

1) They contain 10 times more minerals than sea salt.

2) The Dead Sea salts absorb essential oils with ease, which enables them to be released into the bath water as they dissolve. This is beneficial for those wishing to benefit from the Dead Sea in the privacy of their own home.

Some of the minerals found in the Dead Sea are listed below together with their functions or benefits to health.

This provides some insight as to why these minerals assist in cleansing, de-toxing and restoring a healthy status quo of the body, especially the skin and muscles.

The CRUEL REALITY OF ANIMAL TESTING

Synthetic Cosmetic Products – Are you supporting animal testing?

I know not everyone believes that the exploitation of animals is wrong.

As an example, many people eat animal products. There are a small minority that still wear furs and a vast number of people take medicinal products in the full knowledge that they may well have been perfected and safety tested through animal experimentation.

Whether one agrees or disagrees with people in these categories is a matter of personal viewpoint, but what can’t really be disputed is that in the majority of the above cases the people concerned have made a choice.

It isn’t really possible to buy and wear a ‘real’ fur without being clear that the making of it probably involved killing an animal. Similarly with many foodstuffs such as meat or fish, one can’t really eat them without knowing that they come from animals.

Even with prescribed medicines, although a pill or liquid doesn’t immediately communicate its origin, this whole area receives such constant publicity in the media that for me at least it would be difficult to believe that most people do not understand that animal testing is probably involved at some stage.

In the case of synthetic cosmetics though, the position is different. The power and financial influence of the major

global corporate cosmetics companies is truly awesome. Their advertising budgets are vast and the TV and papers are constantly full of their publicity and ‘positive spin’ ads. What is even more interesting is that large numbers of these ads and articles try to link their product to ‘nature’ and ‘natural’ – cue the images of forests, waterfalls, beautiful models frolicking on a pristine beach and cuddly pet animals sitting on a couch watching admiringly as their owners apply whatever the product is.

Although there is some negative publicity and media comment about the realities of certain synthetic cosmetic production processes, this is often totally submerged and drowned by the outpourings of the mega-companies and their vast budgets.

I think this is a great pity because as a result the consumer can fail to understand two critically important things:

• Some synthetic cosmetics are based upon artificial compounds that may involve animal exploitation during testing
• It isn’t necessary! There are natural cosmetic products available that do not involve the creation of artificial chemical compounds and their subsequent testing on animals and ar just as good if not better.

It is true that many major cosmetic manufacturers now say they do not test on animals. It is also true that the European Parliament plans to ban cosmetic animal testing in 2009, but this is not entirely the whole story. Many of the chemicals used in synthetic products are sourced from third-party companies where the guarantees are far less clear. If these companies are outside of the EU then those humane laws may be difficult to apply.

The easy way to avoid indecision and uncertainty is to look for those cosmetic products that are based upon 100% natural ingredients and which offer a ‘no animal testing’ guarantee. You can be sure that no animal has had to suffer for your convenience.
